Join artist and tutor Nabil Ali for this fascinating online course revealing how paint and ink can be produced using plants and other organic ingredients. The paint making processes are inspired by historical recipes selected from key technical manuscripts and classical sources, using forgotten craftsmen techniques and concepts.
The workshop aims to provide you with the knowledge to establish a paint system by utilising everyday plants from your garden, whilst allowing privileged access to an online organic paint recipe database.  The course is suitable for all levels of ability.

Nabil is a professional artist and visiting tutor to the University of Cambridge and the New University of Lisbon and is known globally throughout the Art Conservation industry. He has delivered many creative projects across England and has exhibited at the Florence Biennale in Italy. His workshops have been celebrated at the Ferens Art Gallery, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter at the University of Oxford, the Prince’s Drawing School and the Lycee Francais Charles Lepierre in Lisbon.
