November’s Saturday opening is all about maps, as we host the University’s Dr Sara Caputo for a very special exploration in partnership with the Being Human Festival. Explore the fascinating history of a device we often take for granted, and discover new ways of visualizing our place in the world.

Join us for a magical family session at the Botanic Garden, inspired by Elena Mannion's enchanting story "Old Oak and Little Acorn." Enjoy a captivating reading by the author, followed by a fun craft activity where we will decorate acorns and make autumnal greeting cards. Each child will receive a signed copy of the book to take home with them.
- 2 sessions: 11am – 12 noon and 2 – 3pm

Christmas is little Robin Redbreast’s favourite time of year. She visits all the festive plants in the Garden, and this year, you’re invited too! Use the map to follow her journey, learn all about the Christmas plants and make a special gift for your home. Pick up a free trail booklet at the ticket office to get started.
