Each Museum will host a short set lasting about 25 minutes, which will introduce the main theme and then combine music and storytelling. The performances are paced to allow those attending to enjoy the collections after the performances.

This study day on 11 March begins with a guided tour around the exhibition Whistler & Nature with the art historian who conceived the show, Dr Patricia de Montfort from Glasgow University, and Prof. Clare A.P. Willsdon (also of Glasgow University), who contributed to the exhibition book. Followed by illustrated talks from experts, listed below.
