Discover plants from all over the world in 40 acres of beautiful gardens and glasshouses. The Garden is a treasure trove of over 8,000 plant species, including nine National Collections and a wonderful arboretum.

Group Visits

Very welcome. For groups of 10 or more, please book at least one week in advance by filling in the appropriate booking form on the Garden’s website

Guided Tours
Guided tours for groups are offered by trained Garden volunteers. Please book at least four weeks in advance by calling the Botanic Garden Administration Office on 01223 748450. Fees apply, and a deposit may be required. 
Free guided tours are offered on Sundays. Sign up at the main Brookside ticket office on arrival.

Explorer backpacks and trails are available at both gates to help you explore the Garden. Matthew’s Library, a selection of children’s picture books about the natural world, is available in a corner of the Garden Café. 

The Garden Café offers a children's menu and picnics are welcome.
