Join us at 2pm on Sunday 28 March to explore the Museum of Zoology with this film by conservation experts and discover the wildlife conservation success stories behind the animals on display.

Head over to the Earth Optimism website to watch: https://www.earthoptimism.cambridgeconservation.org/film-festival/conser...

Crafting materials at the ready – join us in an online craft club as we create nests together using different techniques, and find out from expert Dr Jenny York how different species of birds create their nests. Share your creations with us after the event! We will be using materials you can find at home, recycling materials where possible, to create a nest you could use as an Easter decoration. We will send information about materials and equipment as well as joining instructions when you book.

This event is suitable for ages 8+

This year we are taking our Winter Wildlife event online. Join us for the live launch on our YouTube channel at 4.30pm on Tuesday 1 December.

Get your questions ready for a LIVE Q&A with a local wildlife expert, discover some amazing winter animals, and go on a virtual tour of the wildlife of the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Then sing along with our all new version of the festive favourite The 12 Days of Critters, written by PhD student Kate Howlett.

Autumn is very busy for the wildlife in the Botanic Garden and to celebrate we are giving out special Autumn Animals cards to all our young visitors.  Pick up a free card from the ticket office and go on a hunt for fallen autumn treasures to decorate your animal.  A total of six animal cards will be available, with a new card being released every week from the 17th October.  Activity runs until the end of November.

Please note, all children must be accompanied. Standard admission charges apply for adults.  Children under 16 years free.

Zoology Live! 2020 - every day at 4pm from Monday 22 June to Friday 26 June and throughout the day on Saturday 27 June.

Come and learn about the journey of fossil pollen grains and how they can teach us about changes in past vegetation and climate. We will explore their amazing shapes by looking down the microscope, learn about different types and which plants produce them and finally make some ourselves!

Explore the animal kingdom with stories and play. The Museum of Zoology is the 'plaice' to learn about fishes and their friends. Suitable for children ages 2-5. Free. Booking recommended.

We’re part of the national Where’s Wally? The Big Museum Hunt, organised by Kids in Museums and Walker Books, to celebrate the release of the new Where’s Wally? book, Double Trouble at the Museum. Can you find Wally in our collections? Pick up an activity sheet and get a special sticker if you do!
