Kettle’s Yard learning team will be messing about with boats at this free drop-in family workshop in collaboration with the Cambridge Family Film Festival. Accompanying a film programme all about water, this workshop will ask you to imagine life at sea, make your own boat and set sail in all weathers. With examples of artists’ responses to water from the Kettle’s Yard collection.
Join Kettle’s Yard for a fun interactive day, exploring what living in and around Cambridge means to you. Part of the University of Cambridge’s Festival of Ideas, drop-in anytime from 12–4pm to take part in a series of artist led workshops. Working with ‘The Cambridge Show’ artists, Anna Brownsted and Luciana Rosado, you can create artwork inspired by Cambridge, your ideas of home and hopes for the future of the city.
FREE, booking required.
About Open House
Open House is a long-term collaboration between Kettle’s Yard and our neighbouring communities in North Cambridge.
Open House welcomes an Artist in Residence each year, selected by the community, to explore the local area, collaborate with local residents and create new artwork together.
Enjoy a special Saturday opening highlighting centuries of toys and fun for children. Co-hosted with the Whipple Library, play with our museum handling objects and enjoy quirky Victorian children's books from our special collections.
