Touch Tours are an opportunity for visitors who are blind and partially sighted to explore our Museums and handle real objects.
What happens on Touch Tours?
Join a monthly bespoke guided walk around one of our Museums and get hands-on with real objects and artworks.
Sessions vary in their content and themes from month to month, exploring everything from Peruvian pottery at the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology to birdsong at the Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Tours can be indoors or outdoors, and are aimed at adults.
We offer limited places on each tour, plus a space for one companion each if you would like someone to come along with you.
We are pleased to welcome guide dogs and assistance dogs. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring one.
As well as the Touch Tours, we also offer creative workshops that combine audio description, touch and shared learning with making led by an artist.
