The Stained Glass Museum
South Triforium

Ely Cathedral

CB7 4DL

Who

Booking is essential.

This ticket admits 1 child (who must be accompanied by an adult).

Space is limited in the workshop so we ask that ONLY ONE parent/carer accompanies child for the duration of the workshop.

Learn the principles and theory of glass cutting, fusing and firing stained glass with an experienced tutor.

You will then work on your own design and make a 10cm x10cm glass piece to take home and keep. Your glass will need to be kiln-fired after the workshop is finished. This process takes 24 hours and will usually takes place on the following day because someone needs to be on the premises during firing. Once your fused artwork has been kiln-fired and cooled, the museum will contact you to let you know it is ready for collection.

All young people must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop. Suitable for ages: 7+

Please note that the Stained Glass Museum is located in the Cathedral at the top of a stone spiral staircase. The nearest toilets are located on the floor below in the Cathedral. For further information, please contact learning@stainedglassmuseum.com
