The Museum of Cambridge is delighted to once again be involved in Twilight at the Museums.
Join an evening of exploration and see the Museum in a new Light. Magic Lanterns - popular image projectors used for entertainment and education for 250 years - will guide you through a story of Cambridge's history in this one-of-a-kind event. The Museum will highlight some key objects from its collection relating to both the story and lights in the city.
There will also be a FREE drop-in craft session for children aged 5 and over. Come along and craft your very own Victorian-style lantern based on one from the collection. Then, use the light of your new creation to guide you through the dim gloom of the Museum's 16th-century building and illuminate the fascinating history of Cambridge.
Other FREE drop-in lantern craft sessions are running throughout the week too.
Regular Museum admission applies (£7 with donation, £4.50 student, 16 and under go FREE!) and tickets will be available on the door. The drop-in craft is FREE for all and does not require a Museum entry ticket or pre-booking.
