About the Session
How can we make a difference to the sound something makes? Experiment with the museum’s duochord, tuning forks and other objects to find out how sound can be changed and measured. Find out why there are different sizes of instruments and what difference that makes to the sounds they can make.
Duration: Can be booked as:
A 90-minute session in the museum- please note that our maximum group size is 45 due to the small size of the museum. You can find an example timetable for the museum session here and our group leader notes for taught sessions here.
or
A 30-to 60-minute outreach session (schools or organisations within a 30-minute drive of the museum only) with ideas for activities to complete in class
Available: Tuesday afternoons, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Museum sessions 10-11.30 or 1-2.30. Outreach times negotiable, subject to availability.
