From visiting exhibitions or taking part in workshops, there are lots of ways to contribute to your award across the University Museums. We can also help devise, support and deliver your Arts Award — whether you’re a school, community group, or individual.

What is the Arts Award?

Arts Award is a national qualification for young people aged up to 25 that enables young people to grow as artists and arts leaders. The Arts Award is not about ability and seeks to bring out an individual’s journey through the arts, inspiring them to connect with and take part in the wider arts world through setting personal challenges in the art form of their choice. Arts Award levels Explore to Gold are nationally recognised qualifications on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), enabling young people to progress into further education and employment.

Taking part in the Arts Award at University of Cambridge Museums

Individuals and groups can take part in all 5 levels of the Arts Award across University of Cambridge Museums, either through self-guided activities for individuals or through structured activities as part of a group. We offer week-long Arts Award workshops at Explore and Bronze level twice a year, along with tailored programmes and projects for groups and individuals. Taking part in the Arts Award at University of Cambridge Museums explores a variety of art forms through a broad range of themes, cultural activities and experiences.
