About the Session

Explore the stories of some of our objects and learn more about working scientifically. Use objects from our collection to observe closely, perform simple tests, classify objects and gather your own data.

This session involves object handling and can be adapted to fit other science or history topics in school - please let us know what else you are doing so that we can see what links we can make. You can find an example timetable for this session at the museum here and our group leader notes for taught sessions here

Duration: Can be booked as:

A 90-minute session in the museum- please note that our maximum group size is 45 due to the small size of the museum.

or

A 60-minute outreach session (organisations within an hour's drive of the museum only) with ideas for activities to complete in class.

Available: Tuesday afternoons, Wednesdays and Thursdays (museum sessions 10-11.30 or 1-2.30, outreach negotiable), subject to availability

All of our school sessions are free of charge.
