Throughout the festival week from Saturday 27 March until Friday 2 April we will tweet daily at 10am with a different topic each day demonstrating the range of exciting research taking place in the Department of Earth Sciences. From fossil birds to the geology of Mars, explore how the Sedgwick Museum's collections contribute to this research.

Sunday - Student Spotlight: A selection of films from our students about current research, from bouncing eggs to moving plates.

Monday - Carbon Cycle: What role do rivers and microbes play in the carbon cycle on earth?

Tuesday - Studying the geology of planets....with special access to the latest Mars news.

Wednesday - Past climates: What can seashells tell us?

Thursday - The Deep Earth: how studying earthquakes can help us understand the structure of the Earth.
