Join us for our biggest Family Day of the year! This year we are talking all about insects - from mini-beast hunts to short talks for all the family. We are delighted to also offer some wildlife workshops and walks at the beautiful Trinity College Fellows' Garden (not normally open to the public).
Trinity College Fellows’ Garden
At Trinity College Fellows’ Garden you will be able to join walks to find pollinators, hoverflies, mini-beasts and snails, all led by experts. Plus, we will have experts on hand to chat about moths, and if you arrive early, you may have the chance to see the results from our moth trapping. Walks will be starting with our 7am bird walk, then all other walks start from 10.30am from Trinity College Fellows’ Garden (which is about twenty mins walk from the Museum).
Here are the timings:
Early morning bird walk: 7am - 8am
Pollinator Walks: 11am, 2pm, 3pm (each walk is around 45 mins)
Mini-beast hunts: 10.30am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm (each walk is around 30 mins)
Hoverfly workshop: 2.45pm - 3.45pm
Snail workshop: 11.15am - 12.15pm
Pond Dipping: 10.45am - 11.30am and 2.15pm to 3pm

You will need to book onto these walks and workshops - booking details are on our Museum of Zoology blog. All FREE!
The Museum of Zoology
In the galleries, researchers will be on hand to chat with you about the research taking place in the Museum, plus families can discover the role of pollen, pollinators and the benefits of dung beetles with some hands-on activities!
(PLUS don't miss our livestream at 7pm on Thursday 2 July, we will be talking all about ladybirds, see our blog here for all the details and how to join in).
