Zoology Live! 2021: Land, Sea and Sky

Join us for the Zoology Live! Online Festival 2021. We have three fantastic livestreams lined up for you, broadcast live from the Museum of Zoology at 7pm on Wednesday 30 June, Thursday 1 July and Friday 2 July. This year we are exploring animals of land, sea and sky. Sign up here for reminders for these three livestreams, and details of where to find more information about this online event.

On Wednesday 30 June, get your questions ready for Curator of Insects Dr Ed Turner as he shows us the animals that make their living on and in cowpats and how to get involved with our challenge 'Cowpats About Cambridge (and beyond)'. Then we will be joined by Dr Cicely Marshall of King's College as she answers your questions about the wonderful wildflower meadow growing by Cambridge's iconic King's College Chapel, and why meadows are important for bioiversity.

On Thursday 1 July we will be diving under the sea to explore the animals that live there and the threats that they face. Find out about our fabulous Fin Whale skeleton and the challenges staff at the Museum faced putting it on display, then get your questions ready to ask a scientist about amazing ocean dwellers.

On Friday 2 July we are exploring things with wings - animals of the sky. Get your questions ready for our resident butterfly expert Matt Hayes, and find out how you can take part in our butterfly challenge recording the types and behaviours of butterflies in Cambridge and beyond.‘
